Somatic Therapy
In addition to traditional talk therapy, I integrate somatic therapy when appropriate. Somatic therapy utilizes a body-oriented approach aimed at releasing stress, tension, and trauma stored in the body. By focusing on physical sensations and movements, somatic therapy helps the body reprocess past events, offering relief from intrusive thoughts, tension, panic, and emotional distress such as sadness or despair.
